Nokia N-Gage is a game deck, a wireless browser, and a phone in one.
Based on the Symbian OS 6.1 and Series 60 user interface like the 7650 and 3650, the QD has a game console like casing and controls. N-Gage QD is a 'lightweight' version of the first N-Gage - it comes without FM radio, with no cable connector and it generates mono sound.
N-Gage QD weighs 143 g and its dimensions are 118 x 68 x 22 mm. QD is no longer a tri-band phone. There are two separate versions (900/1800 MHz or 850/1900 MHz) available, depending on region. Good news is that the controversial 'sidetalking' is no longer there - earpiece is now located on the front side of the device, like in other phones. The QD finally offers hot-swappable Memory cards - the slot is no longer hidden inside the casing. Hardware buttons have been optimized for even better gaming.
All other features remain the same as in the first N-Gage model.

Nokia N-Gage QD seems to be a 'lightweight' version of the first N-Gage model. Those who only need a game console and GSM phone combo and do not care for FM radio or MP3 playback can get it cheaper and additionally can take advantage of improved controls and front-talking.
