			<title>E71, E60: Suddenly takes 30 Seconds to view contact / call (8 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39888</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> With the E71 I suddenly have the problem that it takes about half a minute when I type in a name and try to call it. Nothing will happen and when I go to the history list and try to call someone from the list, suddenly the numbers of the previous selected contact show up.

I had a similar Problem with the E60. There it happened when I tried to view contact details.

Any idea which problem this is? Will it happen with the latest firmware also?

I didn't install anything special before this happend. Just some Java-Games and Free Time Box....

			<title>My-Symbian InHand client (3 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39868</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Handango have created the InHand client for the My-Symbian Software store.

InHand is a free app you can load to your device that allows you to easily buy and download the latest content over-the-air. The app store offers easy access to new products.

For easy shopping, each product in the InHand catalog includes a detailed description, user rating, and screenshot to help you decide what software best fits your needs and wants. Product delivery and purchasing are completed directly via the device, so you don't have to mess with sync cables and desktop software.

The My-Symbian InHand client (for S60 phones only) is available for download here:

http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/download/search.php?name=InHand

It's the first version so please try it and report any issues or improvement ideas. With your help, we can make it a more convenient way to purchase software than the Ovi store :wink:...

			<title>E71 switching between UMTS and GSM (4 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39864</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Since I have my E71 I think it happens more often that it switches between 3G and GSM, especially when I am in car for example.

I don't have the feeling that this was the mather with the E60 I had before. Are there any known Issues with the E71?

Also I noticed that I cannot select if I want to use UMTS or GSM only, it says only Dual-Mode in the Options....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> I have a Sennheiser m@b 18 Headset which has a 2,5mm connector. It worked fine with my E60, but when I connect it to my E71 it will only ask me headphones or music station.

With playing around a little bit sometimes I also get the Option headset, but the other side complains that it doesn't sound good.

So whats the Problem?...

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Is there any S60v3 Battery Software which makes statistics about battery usage and maybe also can figure out which programms are using the battery?

I miss thes programs from the Palm and I think I once downloaded something like this, but it didn't work below S60v3 FP1. Now since I have a FP1 phone it should work, but I wasn't able to find the program again... Any ideas?...

			<title>blocking data connections (1 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39833</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Is there any programm I could use for blocking data connections?

As one usually has many applications on the phone and all of them want something from the internet it would be totally useful if you could disable data connections or block some applications (like the personal firewall on the PC).

would be even better if you could only block GPRS/UMTS while WLAN still will be allowed.

any application that can help here avoiding roaming costs?...

			<title>Flash 10 beta (2 replies)</title>

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10270274-1.html

In a Q2 audio press release, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen confirmed that Adobe will release a beta version of Flash Player 10 for a number of smartphone browsers, including Windows Mobile, Google Android, Palm WebOS, and Symbian devices, in October. In addition, Narayen said ARM, Nvidia, Broadcom, Intel, TI, and Qualcomm are currently optimizing the player for their products right now.

Obviously, this is great news for smartphone owners, but one platform noticeably missing from the list is the iPhone OS. This doesn't rule out Flash support on iPhones in the future, however. In the past, Adobe executives have stated that it's coming, but Apple is operating on its own schedule....

			<title>S60 / E75 Manual is to thin! (2 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39795</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> What's the best source of supplementary information to fill the gaps of the Nokia Manuals?

I just noticed that by pressing and holding the camera button activates the camera. I woundered why I hadn't noticed this when I browsed through the Manual and decided to check. Only to find that this feature was nat explained in it.

There are probably lots of features Nokia didn't bother to include in the manuals. The reason may be the Marketing guys' fear that too thick manuals frighten off customers, cost reasons - or just plan laziness.

In any case, I'd like to understand my device as completely as possible, but could not find any comprehensive source to cover the functions, sortcuts etc. not explained in the manual.

So, what do you recommend?...
