I must have missed the March release as well. I really hope that's true as that will be roughly the same time the N95 is hitting the shelves. It'll be easier for me to decide if there isn't a 3 - 6 month gap between being able to buy the N95 and buying the E90.

One device I had somewhat considered due to the VGA screen and othert goodies was the 02 XDA Flame, but at this price some $1200 USD I will certainly wait for a Nokia with full keyboard!!

This means that both the N76, N95 and E90 will start shipping in this quarter and probably at approximately the same time. They undoubtedly share a lot of components and most of the firmware.

The N95 has been announced quite long ago. The E90 isn't even announced yet. So they most probably won't start shipping at the same time.

The Communicator will have two screens with different resolution and the tricky part will be to make all system and third party applications quickly and correctly switch between the screens and adjust themselves to their different screen sizes and proportions as you open or close the cover...

Check how it looks like with all recent Nokia announcements/releases. If a phone is announced at the beginning of a quarter then the release is usually scheduled for the same quarter. If an announcement is in the middle or at the end of a quarter then the phone usually starts shipping during the next quarter. I don't think it'll look any different in this case.

I really hope you are right Michal - it's just that the time between *announcement* and *shipping* of previous communicators has been astronomical!!!

This is one of the main differences this time. With the E90 sharing the same platform as the N95 (and N76), there should be much less E90 specific work to be done for Nokia in order to ship the E90. So we should most likely not expect as long a time between announcement and shipment in the future as was the case for 9210 and 9500.

could be.. IF the E90 has four buttons (from all the talk you know Wink )you can see the four options where the buttons would be on each side of the screen grab.. Then again, i would have thought the resolution would be better Confused

The image linked to by Rave1 has the dimensions 752 x 331 pixels. The E90 has an internal screen with somewhat larger dimensions according to Michal's now removed post. But it could be a photograph of the screen.

Actually, the screeshot has 800x352 dimensions.
It 's AFAIR E90 screen dimensions according to Michals removed review.
So, it seems real to me.

Oops. It does that too, when I enlarge the Internet Explorer window on my PC so the image is not scaled down. Then it has the correct dimensions.

Well its pretty much creditable if it is infact 800x352. I got to say, it looks really nice! And it looks different, it doesnt really have a copy paste kind of look from some ordinary screen shot either. I still wonder why the battery signal bar is upside down.. but just a theme that can be changed i guess... I really hope its true! looks great! Michal "could" it be real?
