The Phone Networkstuff might require some signing, depending on the signing you get access to different pieces of information. So that is still to be seen. Also todayview needs a total rewrite (new engine) so that might take a while. Taskmanager does not display the proper ramusage, but I will get that from the process (hopefully that function works now).

I just got the latest UIQ2 code, and it contains lots of different functions.

I will not focus on hotkeys and autostart since there are other tools for this, and its it will definatly require signing to do that.

On my part having a well working taskmanager and filemanger (with zip) is just great, bluejacking is veryfun, as is the SysInfo stuff (uptime is nice), hopefully the Infostore will be working soon, and I guess DTMF will also be useful. Smile

Well.. that means that the app is really untestable, not usable for everybody and that means lots of hassle. Getting SMAN properly signed is a better way then. I don't think that I can get a cert for any kind of testing even. All this fake signing has been restricting access for proper development for people like me.

I agree, and I think it is still a shame that end users have to "hack" their phones open to achieve the functionality that SE should provide in the first place.

The recent hacks etc. are good for "power" users but then it creates a divide between hacked and unhacked functionality that only causes confusion in the longer term.

kradcliffe.

I fully agree with you. It's a shame to SE as we all know.

AG,

Will the file manager be tree format like Xplore? I find it very very convenient.

Zip: if it can do update the content of the zip it'll be very great! Xplore can only extract or create a new zip, but not modifying the existing zip content.

Hi! I'm using the UIQ2 UI as a base, UIQ3 does not have a tree type listbox and I think this works fine with the limited screenscreenze. I think the zip engine will allow you to modify existing zip content.
