derjul, yup it was the rsc file that initially preventd it working on the phone. now my plugins install but cause a glitch so that none of the standard plugins seem to work

Is it possible to put animated gif in Gdesk? If not, it would be nice thing if it could.

I also think that, not necessarily important, it would be good that Gdesk should have SAVE and SAVE AS feature in design menu.

Yes, you can use BallRoom over GDesk (and over any other app), even without Function server. Please see the BR docs or ask in its thread on this forum, so we don't get too off-topic here in the GDesk thread.

lol, apparently....ur just advertising ur app here. yeah ballroom is animated but ONLY on the the application icons and in main menu mode, NOT on the Gdesk plugin itself. just to make things clear... peace!

I have a request:
The transition between last page to default page when exiting from application back to GDesk, can you make it a bit longer?

I like my default to be page 1, but sometimes have a need to go back to the same page's apps shortcut after exiting. This is similar to run main delay requested, that it doesn't go back to GDesk that fast.

Hello again.

I noted down several points before too I thought we might like having in GDesk but they never get to shared here. After trying out last version and taking a serious round of designing several interfaces I line up some more points and here they are. I understand that you are after bigger picture of software and small manageable things are pushed for the last but I hope while you are working on complicated tasks keep a soft hand on to these small issues too.

I hope to have some support about these or some of these functions from other users too.

Designing a pixel perfect or complex interface needed too much focus, I had to stop breathing and attempt a dozen times before place an icon/object to its proper place. If, only if we can have a Nudge-like pixel push through keyboard it would be a great help for us buddy.

This option is already asked before on these pages, please make Text Alignment on user controlled instead keeping it in center, eg. Left Center Right.

Can we get a new object only for Label to write text instead of having it attached to an icon. Or maybe if it is possible that we just write caption and set its size and colors and use it as label? I think by this we can reduce our GDD files to very less because not using images for every label we need to write. And it will be easy to make changes.

Another simple object or function I’ve been thinking is to switch a page automatically, or something like “onLoad” eg. OnLoad and load application, onLoad and active particular page window, or Onload and switch to page 3. At this moment, the main possible use I can think of is
1. to do some animation like effects specially the one we have seen in cube rotation type designs.
2. to popup a window when we go to a particular page.


Is it possible to enable scrolling within a page region when we call a page as page window? If it is possible in coming up version then it will answer to many of the questions continue to raise.

I set my menu to “Static” and it almost gave me the result what I was hoping for (as replacement of my above issue) but there is a slight issue with it too in refreshing. I think it will work perfectly only it needed a better refresh so object will resume its position right when the scroll stopped instead on a touch of tap on screen.


I think “Non-selectable” objects are not supposed to select but they are coming into selection in this version 0.33e.

If we get an option to disable the “Selection Outline” while keep our object as selectable then it would be nice too.


Having an option to remove “Icon’s Mask” would safe some time during designing.
Save without asking with the default name, although you might need to add another option “Save as” or you can combine them two by giving the name of current design instead of “Export”

I don’t know how hard it will be to give scrolling bars to the pages but I hope in near future we might get some options to enable scrollbars to page that are set to scroll.

I've the latest GDesk installed and my CAPSWITCH is OFF. The in-built Key Lock does not work for me. When I press the Key Lock button nothing happens. Please help me out.
