Hi there,
got a brand new N9 and the basics are working well. When I booted with SIM-Card I got the Nokia accout screen but can select later. But when starting Maps, Drive or Developer mode I need a Nokia account. When I close this message then the program is closed as well.

Thing tried:
old Nokia accound account
without sim via wlan

What have I got wrong?

You wont be able to create a new account reference , your best option is restore settings from someone else.

You can install Developer Mode and fix the other things you mention, but maybe you could first post the firmware version of your N9 as follows:
  • Settings -> About product -> Version
Things will be much easier if you have the global version 40.2012.21-3_PR_001.

Microsoft support for Nokia products generally doesn't exist. For instance, they have a page with Booklet 3G software, including the "Update Software" app. When you download and install it, it says that it cannot connect to Nokia servers as nobody has changed it in the app.
