After have disappeared from the emulation scene,i'm proud of show my latest work:ecast.
It's an atari st emulator,and i still don't know how fast it can run, because i only seen the green desktop,the emulator doesn't have any input or gui to setup floppy so that's what i tested.tought it seemed quite fast.
That's only a teaser because i don't think i'll release it soon.

Now i gotta sleep it's from this morning that i try to make that damned thing work,i gotta relax.

This emulator brings me thinking back to the good old days...you remember those big discussions about Amiga vs Atari ST...which one was the best

Why the mouse pointer is exactly in the very same place on both the emulator and P900 screen? Isn't it just a picture?

Fortunately enough i were too little for that discussions,i had an amiga 500 with expanded memory(1mb if i remember well),and all i cared was to play with that beast.To me amiga is no match for atari st,way more powerful,but just looking at euae source give me headache.

Since 00christian00 has proven that he is able to make some decent and very good emulators (eTurboGraFX16, wonderswan) I really believe him.
I'm sure that this isn't fake.

Forget about amiga emulation, even on a 166Mhz arm9 processor with 8Mb of ram, is quite hard to emulate an amiga 500 (GP32's hardware) but atari st has proven to be possible under that hardware, so i only can say this, GO CHRISTIAN GO!!
Are you using cyclone for the 68000? or have you written your own core? do you use asm?

I still can't make the input work
It work on the uiq emulator but doesn't on device.However say what you think.

The core is written in c and is taken from castaway,and is pretty fast.

Emulating an Atari ST at acceptable speed should be possible on a Px00 series.. considering CaSTAway on other platforms, and Good old PacifiST on PC which ran quite well on my 486 at the time

00christian00: Does it (in theory, since i imagine it might be hart to test without somekind of input) have any kind om sound emulation?

Also, once(if?)you´ve get the input working mouseinput could be emulated the way it is handled in Scumm, unsing the camera/internet buttons as left and right mousebutton? *dreaming*

i know its early stage but would you give us some idea when you think first version would be ready ?

And yes i'm thinking of various way of input,and one should be that.

I don't know too.Since now the emulator and real device have different behaviour,it's hard to track down what is going wrong,so i can't tell the timeline.
