I couln't help my self, due date, it HAS to be released today. Its still an early beta, has bugs and missing features. The full featured version is still coming; proper skinnable UI, keyboard configuration, WAD management and Bluetooth multiplayer support - as well as source code and a new SDL version (this time a properly updated one ).

However it would be nice if someone try it and tells about bugs it has - I really dont have testing resources. Thanks.

| A doom1.wad file must be copied in memory cardin folder "wads" i.e : e:\wads\doom1.wad

| ..and you seems to have E61, the keyboard configuration is done for ITU-T keys, it might be bit painful with qwerty. Those values things are not hardcoded. I try to post some instructions tomorrow... (cannot promise anything for sure however)

Great date for a Doom release indeed! So, does this beta only work with the shareware version of Doom? I just tried the full version and it crashes with the error mentioned above.
EDIT: Well, so it seems. And a note to other users: C2Doom must be installed on the internal memory to work.

A couple of bugs so far:
1. It doesn't remember any changes you've made in Options when you restart the game.
2. Save/load game doesn't work.
3. The game wouldn't launch when C2Doom was installed to the memory card.
4. It only works with the shareware version of Doom so far.
It's also a bit hard to exit the game on an E61. I've found that I have to press 8/B and then press the joystick to end the game.

This is great, although I didn't manage to get it working. I have Nokia E70 and I get this error message which closes the game, when I try to start playing:
sos doom
Error: W_GetNumForName:STTMINUS
I have installed the game in the internal memory and the shareware wad doom1.wad is located at e:\wads\doom1.wad.

| Is your WAD ok? If you have a broken WAD that may crash while loaded. Windows says my WAD size 4196020 bytes (4 198 400 on disk) and date is 06.12.98 20:51:52

You were right, the wad file was causing the problem. I downloaded the wad from another place and it started working right away.
I really liked this. I remember the day I got doom1 when it was released and I was way excited. This reminded me of that and got me all excited again. Nice port. Only problem I was having is that the keys were somewhat akward to use, but I really don't know how to make them better. Joystick's limitation not to be able to move forward and turn at the same time is the worst. I guess one idea would be to have the shooting key something other than '5' which is exactly under the joystick. The best solution would be to be able to customize the keys. For example, Nokia E70 in landscape mode could use keys nicely. Btw. it worked vey well on a landscape mode.
