| @ph, don't overlook WLAN and Opera, there are significant improvements there.

| does the language selection (when you start the phone after upgrade) depend on whether you have generic world 1 or 2 phone. i have GW2 but I don't get to select Slovenian language and there are no language files on SE web page. Can I get it some other way or would I have to change to GW1? or perhaps a third option? |
It might be. I have GW1 ( bought in Slovenia ) and I could choose slovenian after FW upgrade. The same was with my M600 .

Because I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere on this forum recently, a quick point about memory usage.

Actually some of it has: http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Info/Memory_Leak
However I took the liberty to take parts of your post to complete the info text. Hope you don't mind.

| I am using Opera Mini only and no WLAN needed. Then these two would be not important to me at least. Anything else significant apart from the pics and the two?

With R6 I cannot write long emails with profimail either. Program exits with something like a textfield error msg.
Sony Ericsson is a shiny star but when you come near you smell the delicious flavor of dog pupu.

So now when I'm not angry anymore...
Ares - if I could help in anyway, I will.
After 8 hours with latest FW, extremely testing it:
Works great. Besides the problem with long emails described few pages back, everything is fluent and fast. Happy to have better Opera - use it a lot. It is reliable.
But the email bug is still a shame. This is not a RAM issue. As somebody else says it's also the same with profimail.
You cannot edit a long text. Nor write or delete - immediately Error appears and app. is closed. But - funny - you can write in the beginning of the text.
Besides that, it's close to be really really good.

This long text thing is interesting. I have a very long note item, fear dictionary I can open it in notes and view it without a problem but when I try to select all and copy/paste into a Quickword document it doesn't work. After reading about the mail problem I'm pretty sure it is the same bug. Looks like the clipboard (or its Symbian equivalent) has a limit which when exceeded produces all the errors you have mentioned.

Sounds like an UIQ3 bug rather than a Symbian bug i.e. GUI problem rather than an OS problem.

Yeah,
it's even more interesting!
I made a test:
I took a long text from draft which was already problematic and tried to copy it (with select all function) to DocsToGo Word. And - it happened! Took like 12 seconds but did it.
So - i selected ALL the text in Docs and copied it and pasted in the file - so I DOUBLED the text in Docs, so I had like 190K, long text.
So selected all and copied.
And pasted to a new mail.
And - it pasted it! So I get a huge mail.
And displayed: Maximum character reached! Now I know the limit...
And guess what - with this mega text I can still write or edit in the beginning, but not in the middle or the end of the text!
