Can anyone tell me how to reclaim memory in Sman like one does in Swiss Manager?

Haven't used swiss manager in a while. I like the free version better because it's not so bloated (compared to pro version), but i chose sman over the free swiss manager because of one reason. not the key-mapping although i use the function regularly now, but because the free version of swiss manager cannot resist exit requests (i believe that's how the function was named in the app), or at least it didn't when i last used it, which made the app useless for me. it would be killed several times a day and i can't be bothered by checking if the app is still running or not. so this is THE function swiss manager lacks (free version of course, the pro version has this functionality).

Life without Sman is difficult on my P990i. Infact i held on purchasing P990i till Sman was available with all its functionality that i loved in my P910i. It was only after my darling P910i was stolen that i reverted to P990i. SMP is good but there were a lot more features in Sman for UIQ2.x that i miss. Like making exceptions to end task for particular applications that i want to be running even if chose to end all running tasks. Or maybe i haven't discovered this feature in SMP!?

Ajak and Droll: Please do let us know if development of final UIQ3 version still in pipeline or you've given up on it.... Crying or Very sad

Such exceptions are a basic feature of SMP since its first version. Just select the application in SMP's Task view, then press the Task info button, and unmark the Include in End all option.

It is a good idea to study the user guide and the FAQ, available both online and for download. SMP is packed with features that you might not have discovered so far.

Embarassed Should've found it out myself but it just goes to show how little time i spend using and fiddling with applications on P990i. Just dont trust this so called "Smartphone" (or as i call "dumbphone") enough to open applications and work with them as i used to do with P910i.

Great to have this feature in SMP Lisa@CSP and i in no way wanted to undermine the good work done on SMP. Just that there were some features in Sman that i used a lot e.g file search and zip. Now dont tell me they also exist in SMP already... i'll kill myself ... Razz

You stayed alive Very Happy Probably there is no file search utility for UIQ3 yet. For zipping you can use jZip and X-Plore, both available on this site.
