Good news for E61 owners - firmware 3.0633.09.04

A x'mas present for E61 owners? Soon owners will be able to upgrade their phone to 3.0633.09.04.

What's new? I can't tell yet, but will be connectivity and VOIP issues. I will upgrade mine shortly when there is a time, as usual, I would need to reinstall my apps.

Some other people may be able to post the complete release notes.

Don't go calling your Nokia care centre yet, it'll take a while as usual.

I thought firmware 2 was pretty good. I've only noticed one instability issue (lots of switiching between VOIP and GSM calls can occasionally cause reboot).

I also think the responsiveness of the UI is pretty good. It certainly seems faster then my O2 XDA Exec which packs a 520Mhz cpu.

If there is a new firmware I would like new features as well as bug fixes. Top of the list would be a skype and MSN client built in (still dreaming!)

So, by when? because I just tryed to upgrade but not possible yet. It downloads a new version of Nokia software updater, but afterthat, not upgrade done yet.

I hope my telephone doesn't burns after using VoIP for more than 20 minutes, and to improve the battery live while VoIP, and there won't be any need to power off power on the phone after disconecting from the VoIP server.

For everything else, it's asking way too much.

This is E61 only. All of the phones have different firmware and are on a different release schedule.

I haven't tried it on mine, but it could deal with the product code; just like it did with 2.x

You can get MSN Messenger here: http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmobile.msn.com.cn%2F&la ngpair=zh-CN%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF8

Just select your phone model (E60 = E61) and then put in the verification code and click on "Pc" and you get the sis file.
