CAUTION!
All those which use Communicator like “typewriters” pocket since years, will be extremely disappointed by E90!
The keyboard wind to be tested by several people on a layout grid : the keys are smaller than on the 9300 and even more than on the 9500, of course.
Terrible result : triking with several fingers which were possible since 1996 on the 9000, 9110, 9210, 9500, even 9300, is impossible on E90!
Nokia decided to miniaturize its new Communicator too much: it is on the whole detriment of the keyboard, first argument up to now compared to the others smartphones of the market.
I am very disappointed and anxious...

My english is not good...
I am sorry, but i have a official dummy of E90 : the keys are very too small for typing with several fingers.
The loss of comfort with 9500 and even 9300, is real and important. I am a journalist and it is serious for me : all the users who seize much, will be constrained.

| The keys can't be any smaller than the E61. The size of your hands and fingers also play a part. If you have hands the size of a boxing glove, sure you are going to have a problem. Have the fingers of a pianist and you probably won't. Your statements are subjective.

Judging from the pictures, E90 doesn´t seem to have so much smaller keyboard area, considering that the frames around the keyboard corrects for this to some extent. For me the 9500 keyboard was not good, because the keys were too close to each other and so flat. I liked the 9210 much better. In his review, MJ has pointed out that the design of the E90 keyboard has the advantage of being sort of lifted up, and therefore easier to hit correctly. However, there can be a lack of "travel", but after some weeks use I think one gets used to it. Litchfield in AAS said so.
But, I REALLY agree that the size of the area for the keyboard must NOT be smaller, hopefully rather a bit larger, for one of the main assets of the Commie is the ability to be write in a comfortable way on a qwerty keyboard.
I look forward to get my own experience with the keyboard of E90, and I am optimistic on the basis of the info given so far.

| No polemic. Consider that my opinion is subjective. We will undoubtedly speak again about it when you handle your E90.

| Communicator, it's obvious from your post you haven't tried a commy. You don't say you have and you say you are anxious to try one. When you try one, then tell us what you think.

Yes ! The only main assets of the Communicators is the ability to be write in a comfortable way on a qwerty keyboard...
...but the keys of the E90 are too small for fast and long typing with several fingers.
The keys are much smaller than those of the 9500.
We are several to note it and with being disappointed and anxious.

My E90 is an official Nokia dummy for the stores. The materials are truths and all is real.
They come from the true production lines. The quality of manufacture is the true one and the final one.
The keys are the true ones. It is easy to realize of the situation.
