What about that faulty microphone you have complained about in availability thread - does it work now with the new firmware, or did't you send the US version for a replacement to letstalk.com? Surprised

i didnt even think to try it. doesnt really matter though, i am RMA'ing it back this week and have already purchased another unit....just waiting for it to arrive.

dont see any reason to keep/fix a unit that i pay so much for that does not work right from the get go Wink

Steve at AAS has listed the changes/improvements..
As I am not a GPS freek, and my E90 works fine as it is, (if it works dont ef about with it), and I dont want to be bothered finding the codes and re-installing the applications that do not restore..
Dont think I will bother..
This FW update is much ado about nothing.
Here is Steves comment.
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/6158_The_E90_update_arrives-7 4012.php

Note Steves final comment.
I'm guessing that there will be another firmware update in a month or two's time.

I wish I could be as optimistic as Steve...(month or two)..
Winter has started here in Finland and that means:
Hibination and hangovers, between many parties leading up to Christmas...not much work being done in Nokia labs Wink Wink ..perhaps something will appear after Christmas.. Very Happy

Damn ... I'm beginning to regret upgrading to the new firmware as my PIM problem is never ending ... I have re-sync my PIM using MFE but my all my contact are taken from the server (Outlook 2003 contacts SUCKS!) so I have lost a lot of details (especially friends/families who has 3 mobile phones etc etc).

Now I have re-restore the E90 again ... arghhhhhhhh ....

Hmm the restore managed to bring back my old contacts but didn't mess with all the changes and application setup that I did before (which is of course nice since I don't have to re-install them again)

Now I have to do the dreaded MFE sync .....

Can anyone confirm if Nokia has fixed the call log bugs (where all calls are displayed as mobile calls)?

Edit: Just tested on mine and the bug is still there. What has Nokia been doing for the last 4 months? Do they even compile the bug lists as mentioned in this website?

Well it's not something major but it's damn annoying. In my E61, you can visually tell from the call logs that you called a fix line number instead of mobile number. In E90, it's a guessing game. Come to think of it ... it's a major annoyance since this is such a basic phone feature and it does effect me a lot cause I have in many instances had to go back into the contacts application to choose between fixed line/mobile calls of a certain contacts because the damn call logs can differentiate between the two lines. I can't tell a difference between it was a mobile call or a fixed line call.

Peter2, yeah but that site is just a news summary saying that the latest firmware for a certain phone is this and that ... nothing more. There's no link we can click to expand the news

Agreed your best bet it to check out with Steve at AAS he has a E90 and I am sure he will list what has been done ASAP..he has a brief summary already.

When Michal can get his FW upgrade..he can do the same..But Nokia have apparently forgotten Poland with their SWU Wink
