working isync plugin with latest p990i firmware (r6d23) from:

it is based on official (unpublished) p1i isync plugin and contains only simple modifications (by me).
you can download also the p1 isync plugin from:

tested with apple isync 2.4 (501.2) and p990i with this firmware:
phone:
cxc162037 r9g007
bluetooth:

before use these plugins you need to pair your mobile with mac using bluetooth! you do not need to install anything to your phone (do not turn off the bluetooth in phone after pairing, bluetooth must be enabled for synchronization)!

many users reported phone crashes (with p990i) when trying to sync. please check the phone firmware above ... if you have different firmware, maybe this is the problem, and maybe this plugin will works only with this firmware. if your firmware is the same, please try to master reset your phone, upgrade the firmware (even if you have the latest version) and please do not use the sony ericsson backup/restore utility (it can restore some buggy files which can make the phone restart problem). instead this utility backup and restore your contacts and calendars using "contact manager" -> "backup" (in contacts application menu) and "calendar manager" -> "backup" (in calendar application menu). these backups are saved in memory stick - d:\others\backup\ - do not delete them if you want to restore your data.

if you have problem with calendars syncing only, try to delete your calendars in phone and try to sync with one calendar only!

m600i users try this:

A friend just asked me whether there is a way to make the P990 sync with iTunes in Windows?

Maybe you know since you experiment with iSync etc.

Tried to modify the P990i plugin for the M600i by installing it and replacing all occurences of P990i with M600i inside Info.plist and Resources/MetaClasses.plist.

Got the following error when I started syncing:

" [BlackGhost] Connection to the phone failed.
Please make sure that your phone is turned on. If this error occurs again, please restart your phone.
Device "BlackGhost" synchronization failed"

In which way did you modify the P1 Phone Plugin to get it working with the P990i?

Seems it's working fine with Leopard's iSync 3.0 as well.

This is the same modification for M600i as for P990i.

I don't have M600i so I can't test it, please let me know if it work (even if not).

Before use it, please upgrade to the latest M600i firmware (Organizer: R6A16) and/or restart your phone and enable the bluetooth on Phone and also on Mac.

The phone gives the message "Program terminated"
Program: !SyncMLSyncAgent
Causecode: Obex
Causenumber: 13

Tried rebooting both phone and computer.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Strange as it worked flawlessly with my G5 imac? You could try reinstalling the program? Nigel

Same problem here... The phone restarts immediately. OSX 10.4.10 on c2d MBP...

crashed for me as well.
after some playing around with both the p990 and isync i begun working, it appears to sync contacts only though. no calendar data was sucessfully shared in my case

What is your firmware version? ... Is it the same as I wrote in my first post?
