Right, so I'm sure we're all familiar with the highly annoying grease transfer from keyboard to screen, but i have a more serious problem.

I seem to have permanent staining on the screen. I can't get rid of it, tried all kinds of mild stuff on it - any suggestions?

Take a look at the pic, I've circled the offending area in black:

If you have a screen protector, then just replace the screen protector. Saves time. Wink

@rico: i want to put a protector on the screen, but i need to get these stains off first!

@oussama: from the inside, how? you mean from keys pressing the screen and causing the crystals in the display to discolourize or soemthing?

it couild be, or the stains are on the glass of the screen from the inner side
so in that case, open the phone and clean it from the inside
PS: to know if they are from the inside or outside, pass your finger on the screen,, do u feel them?

followed by a razor

Mr. Green

i would recommend you boiling ur E90 in hot water for half an hour !!!! if that doesnt work, throw it from the 20th floor, that should remove the scratch and screen completely.... if all of that did no good !

then try a non-alcoholic LCD cleaner solution with a very soft wipe, similiar to what is used to clean photography lens glass, and wipe ur lcd hard (dont apply VERY HIGH pressure though).

unless ur LCD is physically scratched ! then maybe you should try something likeDisplex maybe ?

you think i am joking,, have u never seen a razor applied on a glass to remove a stain?
well here in Dubai, they do it daily to remove the tainted film from the cars windows, and i even tried it on my N70 and it worked fine

can't believe I actually tried these procedures, but both the heat from a hairdryer and the razor do not work Razz and the screen is intact still! at least i now know how scratch- and heat-resistant the E90 screen is, heh

will have to find some good cleaning solvent probably
