Hi,
I am planning to buy a used nokia e90. I wanted some help in identifying how the newer version( the version that fixes the hard ware issues ) looks like.
I read from somewhere that new verison comes in black. Is it true.

Is there any other way to identify the new version

The easiest way to identify the new version is to check if Shift, Ctrl etc. keys on the keyboard are of the same height as all the remaining keys or if they are slightly lower. If they're lower then it's the older version, if they're level then it's the newer version.

As mentioned above, the latest version of the E90 has all flat keys on the internal keyboard, see the two attached pictures in this post.

follow-up question, is the new black e90 comes with 2gb microsd? if so, then i'll probably re-take the plunge. i used to have the mocca e90 for about 4 months before buying a htc device. if the new black e90 solves the hardware problems i.e. internal keyboard touching the screen, wobbly feet, definitely i'm going to take a chance again. Smile

The memory card can vary from region to region. Memory cards are cheap, so why worry about what comes with it?

thanks for the quick reply. my understanding is that the 2gb comes pre-installed with the maps for gps use for one year. with this said, it can be presumed that the e90 is the new version since older versions doesn't come with pre-installed maps. Embarassed

A memory card may come with maps for Nokia Maps pre-installed for your regoin, but you can just install these with the Maps Loader on a PC. Maps themselves are free, whereas you need a license for navigation. You are probably meaning that the trial license is free, but you have to buy the proper navigation license, either Drive or Walk.
