I'd like to request some help if possible.

My company recently changed/updated our Outlook Web Access servers. Before the change, I was able to access OWA from my SE M600i; since the change, I have been unable to get to it. I've tried troubleshooting with my IT dept but to no avail.

At this point, I believe it may be an issue specific to the M600i. I'd like to verify that by asking M600i users to try accessing webmail(dot)edmunds(dot)com on your phone's Opera Mobile browser? If there are any P990/P1i users or G700/900 users who can do the same, I'd greatly appreciate it. (Please use 3G/GSM/GPRS rather than wifi.)

Just reply back to the thread to let me know:
1) Your phone model
2) Your phone's firmware
3) Whether you were able access the website (Yes/No)

Thanks!

P1i, R6G04, Opera Mobile 8.65 (768)
Accepted certificate
the page cannot be displayed

P1i, R6G04, Opera Mini
connects OK no problem and asks for Username/Password

P1i, R6G04, Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta
Accepted certificate
connects OK no problem and asks for Username/Password

Looks like a compatibility problem on Opera Mobile 8.65 then!. I assume you have 8.65 but an earlier release on the M600?

Thank you. I had not even considered that it could be an Opera Mobile issue.

I have a M600i with the latest firmware (R6A01) which uses Opera Mobile 8.65 (513). I had been accessing OWA via both the browser & Exchange ActiveSync and everything was working fine prior to the change; but since the change, neither can connect to the server. I assume that Exchange ActiveSync uses the phone's browser for some of its functionality since that could explain why it cannot connect to the server either.

Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta is a no go for me since the M600i does not have enough RAM to run it properly. Guess it truly is time for a new mobile for me then.

Thanks again!

You can still use Opera Mini - although it is a java midlet it is very fast. Only potential issue is security as everything passes through the Opera servers for compression

Thanks.

Due to the potential security issue you mentioned, I'm not allowed to use Opera Mini to access the server. Will attempt to see if the Ozone Mobile browser will work.

Interesting...I just tried the Ozone browser (0.90) and it could not connect either - I get the page cannot be displayed error.

This is getting more curious.

There's one more browser for UIQ3:

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried @Web and same issue.

I tried accessing the website from my wife's phone, a Samsung T459, with my SIM card installed and the page loaded fine. This all leads me back to the assumption that it's possibly a phone specific-issue.
