Updated successfully. Quite a long procedure, like 20 minutes or so.

Well, it's just another stability and performance improvement release. Besides Activesync support for Exchange 2003, there's actually almost no new FUNCTIONALITY. Still no voice navigation, no voice dialing, no MMS, no portrait mode, no any kind of Applications menu management (folders/icon order change, etc).

I am starting to doubt if we ever see them on the N900.

While I appreciate increased performance and all the bug/issue fixes, I must say that I am seriously disappointed that none of the missing features has been added, not even one, just to make people happy.

EDIT: It turns out that the browser DOES support the portrait mode. Interestingly, there is no menu to enable/switch it, it is not enabled by default and one has to press Ctrl-Shift-O to enable it. After that, it works just fine and auto-rotates.

This makes me a little bit LESS disappointed about this update, but I'd still exchange this portrait mode for voice dialing. I almost hit a tree recently having to manually dial a contact while driving, which is just pathetic when having a built-in Bluetooth set in my car.

Doesn't appear on my N900 as being available either OTA or via NSU. Is it country specific?

I am updating over-the-air right now. It is a 89.5 MB download, which went quite fast over HSDPA. It seems to take quite a while to install the update.

Maybe Nokia is doing a staged roll out of the update such that it is not available in all countries at once.

They did a staged roll out for the last update so I imagine it'll be the same for this one.

Indeed.

It's actually quite interesting why it is hidden this way (autorotation between portrait and landscape starts working only after Ctrl-Shift-O has been pressed) and isn't mentioned in the changelog, but after you press the shortcut it DOES work perfectly.

So portait support in the web browser is now a FACT and it does work really nicely.

I guess Hintry has just lost his strongest argument Wink

So maybe Middle East devices new OS isn't released yet.

Anyone checked it via NSU yet?

I've been refreshing for 20 minutes now and still no update Sad

the change log said something about the call log. Does the number in the call log show now? if you have a missed call from a contact, does it show from which phone number?
