the update is 172.1mb with NSU and about 16.8 on the update with the handset...but i had a not enough memory issue...and couldnt remember how to clear the cache...so poped it on my nsu.

The new firmware version is not yet available on my N900. Nokia is most likely doing a staged roll-out of the update.

I just updated over the air to the new firmware version 3.2010.02-8. It was a 16.2 MB download. I have not yet spotted any visible changes, but the phone seems somewhat faster.

If you don't have enough space on root to update via NSU, the first (and simplest) thing to do is to temporarily disable Extras-Devel and Extras-Testing in the Application Manager (just by ticking the "Disabled" box). It gives A LOT of additional free space, enough for the update.

Help
Something went wrong during the last firmware update. I thought the update process didn't start and the phohe hanged. But after a reboot the update was automatically continued, I suspect just partly. Now the phone is working but sometimes it hangs. That never happened before so it must be the faulty fw update.
So I would like to redo the fw update (roll back and start the update again) but how do I do that??

You need to reflash it. Don't forget to backup first though!

ok, so since i have updated my firmware, my contacts have been completely deleted twice already.

1st was yesterday while i was out and about. i thought that maybe i had done something or my pocket somehow tapped the right things to delete all of my contacts.

i re-synced them all when i got home and then when i woke up this morning, again, they are all gone!!!!

has anyone else had this issue?

edit:

strange, when i connected my phone and set the sync to replace all data on phone (selected only contacts), it read the correct amount of contacts in my handset, but rather then have to wait to delete them all, it was a quick delete and started installing all my contacts from my outlook.

i dont understand how when pc suite reads my phone first that it sees all my contacts and has the correct number, but they do not show in my handset...they are just gone, disappeared!

any ideas of how to stop it?

also, it does not mess up my calendar the same way, however, when i have my tasks open, if i put it in the background/minimize it, that it automatically openes up a new task to enter.
