Did you manage to boot maemo at the end? I got stuck at uboot so I had to reflash original kernel.

with 45 or previously with 44?
I was on 41 and yesterday I decided to try 44 because it has u-boot support so I wanted to try meego. But it didn't went well. Sad But I sorted that out manually.

edit1
Now I tried to update to 45 via HAM but after powering off/on first I got uboot again but when it was about to load maemo kernel I got multiboot with power kernel 44 Exclamation Question but it doesn't load. I'm stuck in reboot loop and even flashing the original kernel doesn't help. Confused

edit2
well, I had to reflash Crying or Very sad But after restoring my settings first thing I did was installing power kernel 45 and nothing else and this time everything is fine. I get uboot and I can boot meego or interrupt that and start maemo with "run noloboot". It seems that something of those zillion things I had installed made a mess somehow. But I still don't get it how I ended up with multiboot since I really never install that because I was not interested in nitdroid since I had android device. Question

Since the PR1.3 update became available, I haven't been using the Power Kernel, and I won't be doing it until I'm 100% sure that Power Kernel includes all PR1.3 patches.

I'm not sure about the most recent .45 and .44 Power Kernel releases, but the older ones were still based on the PR1.2 kernel.

I find the stock PR1.3 kernel to be that much smoother than PR1.2 kernel that it makes some things work faster/smoother at the default 600 MHz frequency than what the PR1.2 based Power Kernel delivers overclocked to 800 MHz or so.

Therefore, I will switch back to Power Kernel only when a version fully based on PR1.3 kernel comes out and additionally includes full support for USB host mode.

Hello,

I am curious to see the reason for the latest kernal update other than due to the PR1.3 rollout. I read earlier that the developer was going to update his/her software so we would not have to manually OC after every reboot.

Once I saw, after the firmware update, a Kernal bootup screen....I thought finally we will not have to OC our phones manually everytime. Any idea if this will still be an option for us in a future update of the kernal software?
