Hi

The problem I have going on in the dialog boxes, where the options appear with the names of environment variables and not in the set language. Previously solved it with a flash, but I had to reinstall all my programs and that time-consuming. Is there any other way to fix it?. Please, someone who can help me.

regards

Here I put an example image:

It looks that the folder where language (locale) files (*.mo) are stored is somehow corrupted on your device.

*.mo files contain strings shown by applications in the selected language. They can be found in the following locations:

/usr/share/locale/

and

/opt/maemo/usr/share/locale/

these folders contain subfolders named by country codes (e.g. pl for Polish, fi for Finnish, etc.) and inside of them there are all files used by both the operating system and 3rd party applications to display texts in your selected language. If folder of the language you have configured as your N900's language is somehow corrupted or some files from it have been deleted, you get the variables instead of actual texts.

Check if both the above listed folders (and subfolder for your language) are OK.

Yeah, the exact same thing happened in my N900 when I went and deleted some language files (it wasn't an accident BTW Mr. Green) . I Think I even got that in some menus.
