Hiya I am new to the forum so am not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I could really do with some help. I have a P1I and don't really know much about symbian phones but I have done a couple of hours of research and I cant find the answer.
I am looking for some software that allows me to search jpegs stored on my memory card and beam via bluetooth. I have tried "easysearch" as recommended by soemone else which is great at finding the files but I cant send via bluetooth.
I am a professional magician and am developing a magic trick where this would be of great help to me...
Duncan

You are, for one, asking on an Android forum, and not one of the Symbian forums. Perhaps a moderator can move your question to the right place (not that it matters much, as Symbian is more or less dead and has been for a number of years).
Anyway, to answer your question, I recall that the Symbian operating system had a restriction called the "Closed Content List" of certain file types. The file types on this list were/are limited also by the built-in applications from being forwarded/sent (over Bluetooth or otherwise). This was a very rudimentary (but annoying) "content protection" attempt implemented to appease network operators (carriers) wishing to sell ringtones, wallpapers, multimedia message pictures, etc., to their subscribers.
An application could bypass the "Closed Content List" by renaming the file (e.g., "picture.jpg" to "picture.xyz"), but then on the receiving side you would then need to know that what the real file type is, and rename it back.
Instead of trying to solve this for an obsolete phone, obsolete/abandoned operating system, perhaps you should look into getting a new (current, modern) phone instead, if possible?
