The Motorola A1010 is the fourth Symbian OS smartphone developed by Motorola, and is a WCDMA phone that incorporates the UIQ user interface. It is equipped with corporate functionality such as VPN support, advanced PIM management, push email, internet browsing and instant messaging. It features 48 MB of internal storage memory which is expandable to 512 MB through Transflash memory card. The A1010 has the ability to download and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents while at the same time making a conference call or browsing the latest news online. However, the A1010 is not all work and no play - a large, full color, touch screen display, two-mega pixel camera, advanced gaming and audio visual capabilities make it suitable both on and off the corporate playing field.
Even though no official press release so far mentioned it, Motorola A1010's most important improvement compared to the A1000 is going to be inclusion of WIFI (Wireless LAN). This will make the A1010 a very impressive device integrating all of the leading technologies including triband GSM, WCDMA, a two mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, and Assisted GPS. What's more, the availability of the A1010 will no longer be restricted to "3" networks - Motorola says the A1010 will be available globally.
